Want to build a rain garden, but need a little financial help? Each year, the Clermont Soil & Water Conservation District awards up to ten $100.00 grants to homeowners to help offset the cost of installing a rain garden. Grants are awarded on a first come, first serve basis, and to be eligible, the rain garden must be located in Clermont County. The grants are awarded on a reimbursement basis. Upon notification of acceptance, the applicant must complete the installation, and submit a photograph of the completed rain garden along with copies of receipts for materials, prior to reimbursement. The rain garden must be completed within eight months of grant approval. In addition to the $100 grant, the Soil & Water Conservation District will also provide technical assistance to the grantee.
All 2009 residential rain garden grants have been awarded; however, the Soil & Water Conservation District is still accepting applications for 2010 and beyond. To download an application, click here.
